Amy Beacher
I am a qualified and experienced person-centred/humanistic counsellor working with a wide range of issues, including bereavement, abuse, relationships, depression and anxiety and trauma.
I see clients in-person in Cardiff CF24, or Talbot Green, CF72. I also offer online sessions via zoom. Sometimes, it can be difficult to fit counselling around your schedule, I can work as flexibly as possible by seeing you fortnightly or sporadically, depending on work/childcare etc.
How Counselling can Work
Counselling is a safe space for you and I to explore what is happening for you, or what has happened in the past.
Sometimes, you might need to offload things that are causing you stress and pressure, other times, you might have a curiosity or desire to find out why you might be reacting or relating to others the way you do.
I will tailor my approach to suit you and what comes up for you in the present, linking things that you have experienced before to put the puzzle pieces together. Clarity and insight can help you to move forward in your life.

Most of my clients pay via BACS before our session, but cash is also accepted.
I always encourage my clients to speak to me if finance is a barrier.
Extra Information
Since qualifying, I have expanded my skills by undergoing several additional training courses and CPD.
Recently, I have begun specialising in trauma and abuse which has allowed me to see first-hand the positive effect that counselling can have for survivors. I am passionate about my work, and I do my very best to make you feel accepted, comfortable and that you feel you can go at your pace.
I also volunteer to see clients through Victim Support and for a low-cost counselling charity.
The rooms I use are comfortable, warm, and completely confidential.
